Terms & Conditions

1. Who You Are Buying From

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of goods through thelegacyvaultcards.com by The Legacy Vault LLC, a New Mexico (United States) limited liability company, EIN 42-4750545, trading as “The Legacy Vault Cards”, with registered address at 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States (“The Legacy Vault Cards”, “we”, “us”).

Contact for all order, delivery and legal matters: info@thelegacyvaultcards.com · 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States.

By placing an order, joining the Early Access list or otherwise using this website, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the website.

2. What We Sell

We sell physical collectible trading cards and related sealed products: Pokémon, One Piece, football and other trading card games, offered as raw (ungraded) singles, professionally graded slabs, and factory-sealed product. We sell to collectors and investors as physical goods only.

We do not sell financial instruments and we give no investment advice. The resale value of a collectible card can rise or fall; nothing on this website is a promise, projection or guarantee of future value.

All items are sold subject to availability. Because most listings are single, unique items, an item may sell while it is still visible on the site.

3. Eligibility, Accounts and the Early Access List

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to place an order.

Joining the Early Access list means you give us your email address so that we can tell you when the store opens and what is being released. It creates no obligation on either side: it does not reserve stock, it does not guarantee a price, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

If we introduce customer accounts, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account.

4. Item Descriptions, Condition and Grading

  • Graded cards. Where a card is described as PSA or BGS graded, the grade shown is the grade assigned by that independent third-party grading company, not by us. We report the certification number and the grade exactly as issued. We do not grade cards ourselves and we make no representation as to whether a different grader, or a resubmission, would produce the same grade.
  • Raw cards. Ungraded cards are described honestly and conservatively. Where a card has a visible flaw — whitening, a surface scratch, an off-centre cut, an edge or corner issue — we say so in the listing and photograph it. Condition wording is our own opinion, not a certified grade.
  • Photographs. Listing images are photographs of the exact item you will receive, unless the listing states clearly that it is a sealed product shown by stock image. Screen calibration, lighting and holographic foil mean that colours and shine can look slightly different in person; minor variation of this kind is not a defect.
  • Sealed product. Sealed items are sold as sealed. We do not open them, we do not weigh or search them, and we make no representation about their contents beyond what the manufacturer states on the packaging.

5. Prices, Currency and Pricing Errors

Prices are shown in euro (EUR) or US dollars (USD) as indicated at checkout, and include neither shipping nor any import duties or taxes payable in the destination country. Shipping is calculated and shown before you confirm the order.

Prices can change at any time before you place an order. A change never affects an order we have already accepted.

We take care with pricing, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price — a manifest error, for example a decimal place in the wrong position — we are not obliged to sell at that price. If we spot the error after you have ordered, we will contact you, give you the choice of confirming at the correct price or cancelling, and refund you in full if you cancel.

6. Orders and Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order is not acceptance. The contract between us is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, or when we expressly confirm acceptance of your order.

We may decline an order — and refund any payment in full — where the item is no longer available, where the price or description contained a manifest error, where we cannot ship to your address, where payment fails our fraud checks, or where we reasonably suspect the order is fraudulent or intended for resale in breach of these Terms.

7. Payment Methods

  • Card payments (Stripe or Whop). Credit and debit card payments are processed by Stripe, or by Whop where the checkout is hosted on Whop; in both cases you are redirected to the processor’s own checkout. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted, PCI-DSS compliant fields and are never stored on our servers. Payment is taken at the time the order is placed.
  • Bank transfer. On request we will send you our transfer instructions and a payment reference. The item is reserved for three business days from the moment we send those instructions. If the funds have not reached our account within that period, the reservation lapses and the item goes back on sale. Transfer fees charged by your own bank, and any correspondent or currency-conversion fees, are yours.
  • Cryptocurrency. Where we accept a cryptocurrency payment, the amount payable is fixed in the invoice currency at the exchange rate quoted at the moment you confirm the order, and must be sent within the window stated in that quote. Because the value of crypto assets moves, any refund on a crypto-paid order is made in the invoice currency (EUR or USD) by bank transfer, for the invoice amount — not in crypto and not at a later exchange rate. The only exception is an error on our side, where we will restore you to the position you were in before the payment. Underpaid, overpaid or wrong-network transactions may be irrecoverable; send exactly the amount quoted, on the network stated.

8. Taxes, Duties and Customs

Prices shown do not include import duties, VAT, GST, customs clearance charges or courier handling fees payable in the destination country. Those charges are set by the destination country’s authorities, not by us, and they are the buyer’s responsibility. They are usually collected by the carrier before delivery.

We declare the true nature and the true paid value of the goods on every customs declaration. We will not under-declare a value or mark a shipment as a gift; requests to do so will be refused.

If a parcel is refused or abandoned because the recipient will not pay the import charges, any return shipping, storage and destruction costs incurred are deducted from any refund due.

9. Shipping

Dispatch times, carriers, packaging standards, delivery estimates and the procedure for lost or damaged parcels are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Risk and Title

Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery of the goods to you or to a person you have identified to take delivery. Title to the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full.

11. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

Your return, cancellation and refund rights, including the 14-day EU consumer right of withdrawal, are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and does not limit any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Authenticity

Every card we sell is guaranteed to be genuine. We source from established channels, inspect items on arrival, and refuse anything we cannot stand behind.

If a card we sold you is subsequently determined to be counterfeit or altered by PSA, BGS or another recognised authentication service, return it to us with that written determination and we will refund the full purchase price and the reasonable return shipping cost. This guarantee runs to the original buyer and requires that the item is returned in the condition in which it was sold.

A grading company’s decision to downgrade, re-holder or reject a card on resubmission is not an authenticity claim and is not covered.

13. Intellectual Property

Pokémon, One Piece and all other trading card game names, logos, character names and card artwork are the trademarks and copyright of their respective owners. We use those names only to identify the second-hand goods we sell.

The Legacy Vault LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, Shueisha, Bandai, Toei Animation, PSA, Beckett/BGS, any football club or federation, or any other rights holder.

The website itself — our name, our logo, our page design, our text and our product photography — belongs to us. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce or reuse it commercially without our written permission.

14. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the website to commit fraud, to place orders you do not intend to pay for, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape it by automated means, or to resell our photographs or listing text as your own.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including a consumer’s statutory rights, which are unaffected.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated resale value, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the total amount you paid for that order.

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs holds, strikes, natural events, war, or failures of payment or communications networks.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that state have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

Before starting proceedings, please contact us at info@thelegacyvaultcards.com. Most problems can be resolved by email within a few days.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page at the moment you place that order. Changes are never applied retrospectively to an accepted order.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These Terms, together with the Shipping Policy, the Returns & Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your order.
